The only method of cheating discussed so far that is legal in some cases is to use electronics . But what if you’re not a tech guru?
Roulette has a few advantageous playing methods, including dealer’s signatures and wheel bias. The only question is how effective these techniques are compared to outright cheating.
I’ll review their effectiveness below and tell you if the dealer’s signatures or the wheel bias are worth using.
Earlier I talked about players who use electronic devices to calculate ball and wheel speed. This is facilitated by technology because computers are more efficient than the human eye at measuring speed.

But you can still find this out manually by looking for the dealer’s signatures. A signing occurs when a dealer subconsciously spins the ball the same way each time.
This happens when the dealer makes his moves and gets used to spinning the ball at the same speed. The result is that their spins end in a predictable pattern, where the ball lands several pockets from the last winning number.
Here are three things you need to check when it comes to dealer signatures.
- Where the ball lands relative to the release point in terms of pockets (eg 6-8 pockets).
- If the dealer’s spins have a constant speed.
- If the wheel is moving at a constant speed.
The first point is the most important because you want to know if there is a correlation between the point of release of the croupier and the point of arrival of the ball. Assuming you achieve this with a high degree of certainty, you can bet on the numbers found in the general breakpoint area.
You should also count the number of turns the ball makes around a wheel (for example, 29 turns). If you find consistency between the revolutions and the dealer’s release / stop point, you have good reason to believe that the dealer has a signature.
The last step is to bet on multiple numbers located near the midpoint breakpoint. If the dealer releases the ball at 19 and you think it will land around 12, you can bet on 29, 7, 28, 12, 35, 3 and 26.
Bias of the wheel is an advantageous method of play for roulette which has made it possible to create multi-millionaires .
This strategy consists of following a wheel and recording its results. The goal is to record thousands of laps and then analyze the data to detect potentially biased numbers.
Roulette bias is based on the fact that the roulette wheel wears down enough to favor certain numbers.
This is a boring and tedious process that requires standing in the casino for a considerable amount of time. But throughout history, players like Billy Walters, Joseph Jagger and Gonzalo Garcia Pelayo have made huge fortunes through the bias of the wheel.
Does that mean you have to run to your local casino and start recording roulette results in the hopes of finding some skewed numbers? Absolutely not, as this is an outdated method that is unlikely to work in today’s casinos. And the main reason is the Roulette Starburst .
Starburst casters have metal frets, not wood like older casters. This means that the frets are less likely to wear out and create bias.
Very few casinos still use wooden roulette wheels, which means you will be wasting your time trying to use this strategy.
